we went to see "Young at Heart" last night at the Varsity Theater. It's a documentary about these oooooooold people who sing popular songs. They're so adorable, they sing cold play, bruce springsteen, the clash, etc. The documentary follows them as they start (get the new songs) and through their practices/rehearsals up until a gig, and all of the funny/touching moments in between. I won't give it away....i doubt you'll go see it...but it's good. anyway.. my grandma died before i was born, and my grampa lived in a different town. for a short bit of time, we had to live with my great-grandparents... i think the great gramma was kinda "

i tell this story every year...to new friends...old friends...anyone who will listen. as i remember telling it in the past...i've alwasy told it (in person) in a joking manner....with funny faces and arm movements and really getting into it. i posted it once in a forum somewhere...and it didn't translate as humorous...the replies i got were all "sorry to hear that" or.. "your brother's a jerk"... or... "i hope you feel better" i really didn't expect these kinds of responses to my story...but maybe...deep down inside, i really am ashamed or hurt by it? i still think it's fricken hilarious....but it is my nature to have a self depracating (
